Evans Cedar Beehives, LLC is a small company from Cape May County, New Jersey. We are not your average, "run of the mill" beehive company.
We make exceptionally well-built beehives in small batches from LOCALLY and RESPONSIBLY harvested Atlantic/Eastern White Cedar. We are not a large scale operation. You are buying from a crafter...not a factory.
Each hive is unique- No two look the same, yet all maintain standard dimensions beekeepers need.
We are proud to to be helping the environment by using environmentally friendly harvest methods as well as supporting the beekeeping community, both locally and elsewhere.

I started two colonies in your hives this season. Everyone said cedar hives are a waste. Well they are not saying that now. I don't paint the hives I just seal them with a paste of bees wax and olive oil. I have no pests of any kind on my bees or in my hives. I will be pulling a hundred pounds of honey of each hive even with the fifty pounds I'm leaving on for the bees. I credit your fantastic products with my bees health and productivity.

I just received my beehive from Evans cedar today...my hive arrived earlier than expected. I seen many comments about how the smell of cedar would illuminate the room and I thought people were exaggerating. However when I opened up my hive the smell just FILLED the air, all my dogs came up to the hive to also check out where that wonderful smell was coming from. My entrance reducer also made out of wood was included a surprise I was not expecting. This hive is going to last me years and years. To all of you out there debating whether or not to spend the extra money or buying from a hive maker not as well known (YET) as the others, take a leap of faith and take the risk. I will always be in support of Evans Cedar beehives and he has won my service for years and years to come. You can bet your bottom dollar I will tell everyone I know to shop at this wonderful site!
